Hi everyone! I am Shuao Guo (you can call me sheo /ʃiːoʊ/). My pronouns is She/Her. One month ago I was a third-year master’s student majoring in technical competitive intelligence in Institue of Scientific and Technical Information of China. My research is mainly about machine translation(especially for low-resource MT , Multilingual MT and short texts MT) and nlp technology for scientific data (structured data extraction, summary generation, keywords extraction and so on ). And I am a student member of Chinese Information Processing Society of China. I have completed my master’s degree in January 2024, now I am applying for a phd program/phd position starting from Fall 2024 or earlier.

Research Experience
During my undergraduate study, I received complete engineering education and did some engineering projects about robotic arms and industry automation, which were more focused on hardware. During my master’s study, I started to do some research work about natural language processing , which is more focused on software. My previous research is mainly about machine translation(especially for low-resource MT, Multilingual MT and context-aware MT ). Also I do some projects about nlp for scientific data (structured data extraction, summary generation, keywords extraction and so on).
Research Interest
I am greatly inspired and fascinated by the potential of multimodel LLM to revolutionize the way we interact with computers and the world around us, so I am inclined towards working on topics related to generative AI in my future research career. I am also open for other research topics, my current research interests are listed below.
